The Bleeding

The world ended in 1989. But only for vampires. Petty wars for control of humankind escalated until all of vampirekind effectively self-immolated. Thirty years later, the surviving old family heads sought to reclaim their power by recreating the ancient phenomenon that introduced necromantic magic into the world in the first place—The Bleeding. The ritual went terribly wrong and an unspeakable curse was unleashed before the damage could be undone. Something slipped through during this second Bleeding and it's hunting vampires.

Well, in that thirty period, the Rat Years, independent vampires broke out of the old habits of bloodlines and subterfuge. They got apartments and jobs, opened cafés and blood banks, they came forward and embraced their identities and they got cabins in the woods. They lived.

Now, whether concocting an artisanal blend of farm-to-cup blood or plotting in the gutted out mansions of long since lost wars, every vampire balances the new dawn against the darkening shadow behind them.

The Bleeding is a work in progress. It has not been and still needs to be edited vigorously for playability, sensitivity, grammar, and that one part you thought was super weird. This version is presented as-is and for free. Please provide constructive, conscientious feedback to help this game be the best it can be.
