You find an ordinary deck of playing cards. With them are two six-sided dice. These are normal playing tools, but a stranger tells you a secret. This isn’t just a game, but an ancient legacy of divination—a serious art of mysticism.
This stranger warns you of danger. They’re passing the secret onto you because it’s no longer safe for them to keep it a secret. Great forces of change are at work and you are now involved. You must use these tools of divination to understand why you have been chosen for this secret and what Fate has in store for you.
The Unfurled Declare is a tabletop roleplaying game for one or more players. Players interpret their own destiny and share narrative agency. You will need one standard deck of 52 playing cards and two six-sided dice. This game is inspired by Etteilla, or a Way to Entertain Yourself With a Deck of Cards by Jean- Baptiste Alliette, an early text linking card reading to the occult.
